Employer: Kingsman Trucking Inc.
Position:  Truck Drivers Supervisor
Duration/Type: Full Time
Location: 1380 Cardiff Blvd Unit 9, Mississauga, ON L5S 1P9
Salary: $65,000 per annum– to be paid on weekly basis. The gross salary paid will be subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 32.5 Hours a week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Supervise, organize, and coordinate the daily operations of truck drivers and vehicle movements.
  • Develop and implement work schedules and procedures, ensuring effective collaboration with drivers, billing, and dispatch departments.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for new drivers and provide recommendations regarding promotions, salary adjustments, and performance recognition.
  • Conduct training for newly hired drivers on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Assign drivers and vehicles, oversee pickup and delivery activities, and ensure compliance with appointment schedules.
  • Manage all administrative documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and insurance paperwork.
  • Ensure that logbooks, safety certificates, permits, insurance, and other required documents are consistently up to date.
  • Oversee compliance with drug and alcohol testing programs and adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and submit progress and other operational reports as needed.
  • Proactively address and resolve job-related issues as they occur.
  • Conduct and supervise the 17-point inspection process for trucks and trailers.
  • Coordinate maintenance services in the event of vehicle breakdowns.

Employment Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of professional experience in the transportation industry is required, with at least one year spent in a supervisory capacity.
  • Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
  • Strong written communication skills in English language, including the ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical computations such as rates, ratios, and percentages.
