Transport truck driver

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

• Operating an AZ Vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to transport goods and materials
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment and loading and unloading of cargo.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly upon loading.
• Provide accurate and timely product deliveries to scheduled customers
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the primary contacts at each account
• Complete all necessary paperwork fully and accurately
• Perform all assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner, while in compliance with all laws and transportation regulations
• Other duties as requested by the dispatch office.

Specific Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of AZ truck driving experience required to meet company insurance eligibility.
• Must hold a valid AZ Driver’s License in good standing.
• Must possess a clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract with no record of traffic violations.
• Must hold a valid U.S. visa to travel across the border for freight deliveries, either as a single driver or as part of a two-driver team.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull loads of 100 lbs or more.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and overtime as required (preferred).
• Ability to safely operate a dolly and/or power jack for product deliveries.
