| Vacation: | 2 weeks per year |
| Hours of Work: | 35.0-44.00 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of the electronics sales associates on floor, assigning sales areas, customers and preparing their work schedules
- Authorize discounts making sure the sales are done at a profitable margin
- Implement sales strategies and techniques as set out by the sales manager for achieving the sales targets and growing market share of the sales programs
- Motivate sales teams by setting sales targets and achieving them through counselling, skills development and product knowledge development
- Train sales teams on sell-throughs available such as co-op & mdf claims, advertisement %age rebates, and price protections from Samsung, LG, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Sharp and other vendors
- Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
- Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
- Sell merchandise to customers
Specific Job Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in the retail sales sector is required. Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role will be considered as an asset.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee and motivate sales staff.
- A deep understanding of sales techniques, strategies, and customer relationship management.
- Knowledge of industry sell-throughs/rebates programs by vendors and how to use them will be considered as an asset.
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- English language communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers, employees, and upper management.
- Proficiency in using sales and inventory management software, as well as MS office software.
