L.G. Home Comfort Inc. is a growing heating, cooling, and home comfort services company serving residential and commercial clients across Ontario. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Licensed Gas Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining gas-fired equipment and related HVAC systems while ensuring full compliance with Ontario safety regulations and industry standards.

| Salary: | $36.56-$40.00 per hour–The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions. |

Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, and service gas lines, meters, regulators, and gas-fired appliances such as furnaces, boilers, water heaters, fireplaces, and rooftop units.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair gas appliances, burners, valves, ignition systems, and control components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manufacturer manuals, and technical drawings to determine installation layouts and service procedures.
- Perform pressure tests, leak detection, combustion analysis, and ventilation checks to ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Service and maintain HVAC systems connected to gas equipment, including ducting, venting, and air circulation components.
- Replace worn or defective parts and verify proper performance after repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to maximize equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure all work complies with Ontario gas codes, TSSA requirements, workplace safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection logs, and job documentation.
- Provide customers with guidance on safe operation, routine maintenance, and efficient use of installed systems.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Gas Technician licence (G2 or G1) required.
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Minimum 1 year of related hands-on experience with gas systems, heating equipment, or HVAC service.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario gas codes, safety practices, and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical controls and HVAC systems is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s licence is required.
