Salary: $16.52 per hour. The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Vacation: 4% of the gross salary
Hours of Work: 35.0-44.0 hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for restaurant operations (food preparation, customer service, inventory) during the assigned shifts.
- Supervise food preparation to ensure that food safety and operations standards are maintained.
- Provide direction to Team Members concisely.
- Perform paperwork duties and assist with product orders and inventory as needed.
- Set an example for Team Members by working hard to implement shift plan and ensure swift and smooth production.
- Delegate in a way that encourages teamwork during the shift to ensure that the restaurant operations comply with company standards.
- Work with team to act on guest feedback and resolve complaints in a timely, friendly and professional manner.
- Takes initiative to immediately report violations of safety, sanitation, security and other company policies to restaurant management and perform short-term solutions.
- Complete checklists and procedures for cash reporting, inventory control, and scheduling during the shift.
- Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
Specific Job Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Minimum one year experience in food preparation or service is required. Supervisory experience to be considered as an asset.
- Requires effective communication skills, ability to deal with customers and food service employees.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires standing and walking the entire workday.
