| Hours of Work: | 35-40 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Fabricate machined and metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools to fit and assemble windows and other structures used for construction buildings
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- May set up and adjust machine tools accordingly to lineup specifications
- Compute dimensions and tolerances, and measure and layout work pieces
- Read work orders, charts, tables, or study sample parts to determine machining operations and the best sequence of operation
- Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner; perform change over, preventative maintenance, start up and shut down procedures
- Lay out reference points and patterns on metallic parts as per specifications
- Install fabricated components in final products
- Set up and operate metal working machines such as table-saws, punch-presses, drill-presses, grinders, routers, copy-routers as per lineup specifications
- Conduct inspections of machined parts as required, evaluating quality and specifications
- Move materials to storage or any other required space.
Employment Requirements
- Completion of Secondary school is required.
- Prior work experience of 7-12 months in fabricating metal parts is required
- Weight handling up to 50 lbs
