| Hours of Work: | 35.0-44.00 Hours a week. Overtime applicable at the rate of 1.5 after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of the electronics sales associates on floor, assigning sales areas, customers and preparing their work schedules
- Authorize discounts making sure the sales are done at a profitable margin
- Implement sales strategies and techniques as set out by the sales managers for achieving the sales targets and growing market share of the sales programs
- Motivate sales teams by setting sales targets and achieving them through counselling, skills development and product knowledge development
- Train sales teams on sell-throughs available such as co-op & mdf claims, advertisement %age rebates, and price protections from Samsung, LG, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Sharp and other vendors
- Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
- Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
- Sell merchandise to customers
Specific Job Requirements
- Minimum 7-12 months of related work experience in an appliance/electronics sales store
- Knowledge of industry sell-throughs/rebates programs by vendors and how to use them will be considered as an asset
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
