Salary: $20.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Additional benefits: Piecework bonus
Vacation: 2 weeks per year
Hours of Work: 35.0-44.0 Hours a week.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Visit clients, assess the health of lawns, and apply products such as fertilizer and weed control that are safe for use and government approved
  • Meeting with clients and identifying yard maintenance needs. Analyze and provide recommendations to improve the quality of a customer’s lawn.
  • Maintaining gardens and flower beds.
  • Seeding and fertilizing lawns.
  • Maintain expected production schedules.
  • Completion of paperwork with accuracy.
  • Maintaining the aesthetic appeal of clients’ gardens, yards, and outdoor areas.
  • Performing routine checkups on clients’ yards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned truck and equipment.
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance.

Job Requirements

  • 7-12 months experience in lawn care and maintenance is required.
  • Familiarity with lawn care equipment and tools.
  • Experience in handling chemicals and a solid understanding of the safe use of pesticides.
  • Secondary school education is required.
  • A diploma in landscaping, horticulture, or related field an asset.
  • Requires moderate communication skills in English language and an ability to understand/assess clients’ lawn care requirements.
  • Must have a G or G2 License in good standing.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multitasking skills.
