Employer:  Domino’s Pizza of Canada Ltd.
Position:  Store Operations and Training Specialist
Duration/Type: Permanent/Full Time
Reporting Office: 1608 Sylvestre Drive, Unit 4 Tecumseh, Ontario N9K 0B9
Salary: $70,000 yearly; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.
Other Benefits: Optional group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eye care coverage on cost sharing basis; Phone allowance
Vacation: 2 weeks per year
Hours of Work: 32.5 Hours a week

Responsibilities and duties Improve Franchise and Corporate Store performance through in store training and evaluation (75%)

  • Coach store Team Members, Franchisees, and Marketplace Team Leaders to improve store performance.
    • Provide hands-on training during in-store visits.
    • Provide positive, constructive, and actionable feedback.
    • Identify operational gaps and make recommendations on areas for improvement.
    • Action plan follow-up.
    • Assess and share best practices.
    • Conduct classes focused on Product, Service and OER improvement
  • Conduct Operations Evaluations in all domestic Corporate and Franchise stores.
    • Understand, interpret, uphold, and enforce standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Evaluate all systems in stores to ensure proper compliance against DPC Standards and procedures.
    • Evaluate all stores in assigned area multiple times per year.

Facilitate educational programs on operations evaluation and improvement (15%)

  • Teach classes to Franchisees and General Managers.
  • Partner with Area Leaders/Franchisees/Supervisors and Marketplace Trainers to develop additional targeted training that will improve operations in assigned area.
  • Educate marketplace on current and revised standards in a proactive manor.
  • Perform calibration visits with marketplace leaders.

Special Projects (5%)

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to DPC leadership.
  • Participate in special programs
  • Support key DPC leadership and marketplace initiatives, such as awards programs or reference checking
  • Gather and provide specialized data upon request.
  • Support the testing and rollout of new products.

Administrative (5%)

  • Maintain a consistent and direct link to DPC, Marketplace leaders, and Franchisees with timely and accurate communications.
  • Utilize store data and provided technology to effectively plan store visits.
  • Schedule all travel in the most cost effective manner.
  • Utilize available reports and data to ensure store visits are completed on schedule.

Specific Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in managing a Domino’s Pizza store is required.
  • Experience as a multi-unit supervisor, Operations Trainer, or AL-Fran Ops preferred.
  • Role model Domino’s store operator with history of exceptional evaluation scores.  (A score of 4.5 or above).
  • Ability to work independently and be results oriented.
  • Thorough understanding of Domino’s Pizza standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Appropriate level of computer and technology skills. (Microsoft office, Pocket PC).
  • Ability to give constructive feedback and diffuse volatile situations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to travel 75- 85% including overnight travel.
  • Willingness to work 1-2 weekends per month.
  • College level diploma related to hospitality or business management, or equivalent work experience is required.
