Employer:  Tracksmart Fleet Solutions
Position:  User Support Technician
Duration/Type: Full Time
No. of Positions: 1
Location: Unit#2, 188 Wilkinson Road, Brampton, ON, L6T4W9
Salary: $29.00 per hour–The gross salary paid subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.
Weekly hours: 32-40; overtime rate at X1.5 applicable after 44 hours of work per week.
Vacation: 4 % of the gross salary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support, configure, set-up and troubleshoot devices for clients such as ELDs, GPS Trackers and Dashcams
  • Providing training to drivers and clients on the usage of front end and backend software.
  • Support and troubleshoot applications & devices remotely, by web meetings/calls.
  • Proactively manage the assigned external customers such as transportation companies for their technical needs.
  • Follow-up with clients by phone and email about the evolution of their request.
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems as required.
  • Send quotes to prospective clients.
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software.
  • Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and performance
  • Database management. Analyzing logs and identifying potential issues with the systems or the server.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in Systems/IT Support and/or database management is required
  • A University degree or a college diploma in Computers/Informational Technology field is required
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of office 365 suite.
  • Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with routers & switches, Internet firewalls, and wireless technology.
  • Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
  • Must possess above average organization skills, moderate communication skills in English, and can demonstrate problem solving skills and display a willingness to learn.
  • Team oriented individual with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self-directed.
