Employer: 2642531 Ontario Inc. O/A The WORKS Craft Burgers & Beer Position: Assistant Restaurant Manager Duration: Full Time Location: 60 Wellington St E, Toronto, ON M5E 1C7 Salary: $22.00 per hour. The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions. Vacation: 4% of the gross salary Hours of Work: 30-40 Hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Assist in managing restaurant operations to ensure a high standard of service is being delivered, maintain timely delivery of orders, to assure that quality ingredients are being used and ensuring products prepared are consistent with brand’s quality standards.
- Check orders to ensure proper portioning and accuracy of orders.
- Ascertain that all the preparations tables are properly cleaned at the end of the shift, and during the shift by signing the checklist.
- Create and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and brief the ownership.
- Assist in recruiting and training new staff members.
- Ensure that the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations.
- Plan for special events, promotions and local marketing initiatives and communicate with the ownership.
- Make sure that all local and national food safety codes are maintained.
- Managing customer complaints.
Specific Job Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Minimum one year of work experience in the customer service and food preparation including supervisory experience is required.
- Requires good communication skills in English, ability to deal with customers and food service employees.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
