| Wages: | $15.50-$16.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP. | |
| Vacation: | 4% of the gross salary | |
| Hours of Work: | 35-44 hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the kitchen by grilling, frying and preparing food items.
- Operate POS, greeting guests, taking orders and processing payments.
- Assembling orders and packaging food items for take-out and for dine in.
- Keeping all surfaces clean and sanitary to ensure the safety for customers, fellow crew members.
- Dishwashing; handle dishwashing duties, including rinsing and cleaning, utensils, trays and kitchenware.
- Restocking supplies, store and handle food items correctly, monitor storage temperatures, rotating stock, and discarding expired or spoiled items.
- Other duties as assigned by the shift in-charge.
Requirements:
- Secondary school education or equivalent work experience is required.
- Requires basic communication skills in English, ability to take customer orders and take directions from the Shift supervisor/Manager.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
- Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register.
