Duration:                  Full Time

Location:                  7045 Beckett Dr #15, Mississauga, ON L5S 2A3, Canada

Salary:                       $61,200.00 per annum– to be paid on bi weekly basis. The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.

Other benefits:        Optional group insurance benefits including medical, dental and eyecare coverage on a cost sharing basis.

Vacation:                  4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work:       42.5 Hours a week.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Creating, maintaining and balancing various accounts by using Curtis accounting software.
  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing financial information.
  • Managing accounts payable involves tracking and processing incoming invoices, ensuring that bills are paid on time, and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Handle accounts receivable, which involves invoicing customers, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Posting journal entries and maintaining a balanced general ledger.
  • Responsible for running payroll, generating invoices, taxes and other expenses.
  • Account reconciliations using the company accounting system and excel.
  • Process and record cash receipts.
  • Examine and finish the month-end reporting for management to review.

Specific Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college level education with subjects related to accounting/bookkeeping preferred.
  • Relevant work experience as a bookkeeper, ranging from 1 to 2 years is required.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and general accounting software
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
