| Salary: | $43.26 per hour–The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions. |

| Weekly hours: | 32-40; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
| Vacation: | 4% of the gross salary |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical drawings and schematics based on specifications and requirements.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop and modify drawings.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards and company guidelines.
- Work closely with engineers to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Assist in the design process by providing technical insights and suggestions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all drafted components.
- Develop and update specifications, standards, and guidelines for drafting projects.
- Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members.
- Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
- Participate in quality control processes to ensure the precision of metal components.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of drafting tasks.
- Track progress of drafting projects and report any issues or delays.
- Provide detailed drawings and specifications to the manufacturing team.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Ensure that drawings are aligned with the capabilities and constraints of manufacturing equipment.
- Continuously improve drafting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Desired skills and requirements
- A minimum of one-year experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in a manufacturing industry is required.
- A college level diploma in Mechanical Engineering, drafting techniques or related discipline is required.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required.
- Certifications in a related engineering design software or drafting technology an asset
- Team oriented individual with demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and self-directed.
