| Salary: | $22.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal & Provincial income taxes & other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP. |
| Vacation: | 4% of the gross salary |
| Hours of Work: | 32-40 hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Assist in installing HVAC systems, carrying equipment, holding parts in place, or handing tools to the technician.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting systems for potential issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting HVAC systems by observing the technician’s diagnostic processes, retrieving tools or parts, and following instructions for testing components.
- Safely handling equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites. Unload and load vans with equipment and tools.
- interact with customers by answering basic questions, providing assistance, and representing the company in a professional manner.
- Actively learning from the technician by observing techniques, asking questions, and seeking opportunities to develop skills in HVAC repair and maintenance.
- Assisting in maintaining and organizing tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and readily accessible when needed.
Employment Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Physically demanding work requires to stand/move or work on areas hard to reach for the entire shift. Must be able to climb the ladder. Hand eye coordination is required.
- Weight handling up to 50 lbs
- On the job training will be provided.
