| Hours of Work: | 32-44 hours a week; Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stockroom personnel.
- Train new employees on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer complaints or inquiries.
- Handle escalated customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Oversee inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with the management to replenish merchandise based on sales trends and customer demand.
- Maintain the store’s visual appearance by ensuring displays are well-organized, clean, and visually appealing.
- Implement merchandising strategies to highlight promotions, new arrivals, and seasonal trends.
- Manage cash register operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and balancing transactions.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance & inventory levels.
Specific Job Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- 7-12 months experience in a retail or customer service role is required. Supervisory experience in a similar work setting is desired.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills in English language.
