| Salary: | $24.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP. |
| Vacation: | 4% of the gross salary |
| Hours of Work: | 32.0-40.0 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week |
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Install household appliances including Refrigerators, hood fans, built-in Microwaves, Ovens, Televisions, washers and dryers.
- Determine layout by measuring/marking space. Suggest alternatives if the space is insufficient to install.
- Operate handheld tools to install new and remove existing appliances.
- Conduct diagnostic assessment after installation to determine the proper functionality of the units.
- Provide basic training to the customer regarding appropriate use, performance and maintenance of the appliances.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of the appliances installed as needed.
Specific Job Requirements
- 7-12 months experience in appliance installation and set-up is required.
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to handle weight in excess of 100 lbs safely.
- Moderate oral/written communication skills in English
- Valid gas technician license and refrigeration certificate an asset
